You know we all love to see pics,of you, your gear, the dog,the neighbors dog,the mudhole you dug in the backyard, you get it. SO here is the 411 on how to post a picture until I can do better. You have to host it at a picture hosting site like www.photobucket.comthen you can hover on the picture, and it will give you several options.Copy the IMG code, and paste it into the message field here, like this It looks like this and click post. It's that easy. Now lets see those pics.Oh yeah nothing nude or vulgar. This is a family place after all.

A site I used to use for posting pictures that will work well on this site is called Tinypic.com They size your picture very easily and quickly. Hope this helps.

I use ifranview to edit mine before I upload them, and it works great. Plus it's free, and will handle all the different file formats.

OK, I spent all kinds of time trying to upload a couple pics. I gave up and had someone else do it for me. Can't it be simple enought to just drag and drop:P. I need help...help I say. Not from anyone on the forum here- just computer stuff in general. I tried watching my coworker but she was SO FAST I didn't have a chance to catch, AT ALL, what she did. Well, they are there in the percussion section- will try to get the kit I play on at church up as well as my one custom guitar...probably have to have my wife do that for me too while she's tying my shoes and combing whats left of my hair:D

I can't remember but I used the html code or the image code. Mine took 2 or 3 times.

Yeah you have to use the [/img] codes to get it to work as far as the avatar it took me several tries as well to get it to work.If you are using photobucket, when you hover the pic,and the urls drop down in a box, those will not work,I had to actually click on the pic,and once it's in the browser, those codes at the bottom right will work. Hope this helps

Also if you use photobucket, you can swith how the codes are displayed. If you just have the hover, you can switch it to always show the codes. I had tried to use the hover, but even copying the code and then coming to the forum, it would show I didn't have anything copied. So on photobucket I switched it to always display the codes, which comes up beneath the picture and you can then copy the code there also.

OK , I give up !! I've tried every trick I know and looked at all the above suggestions and tried them all and still no avatar. Guess I'm not supposed to have one. I tried every photo re-sizer I know and then some. I reduced it to 100x75 and tried every code they have and still nothing. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllpppppppppppppp !

Okay this is strange...I don't know why everyone is having such a problem with the avatars. Mine went the very first time. Now I wonder if it has anything to do with the size. Earl says he reduced the size to 100x75....I don't know if that was here on the board or in photobucket. I used a "regular" size photo and then when I put it in the box for the avatar I put the 100x100 in my profile. Also remember if using photopucket, use the direct link. Hopefully this might help someone. If there was someway I could help other than trying to explain, I would. Sometimes I'm not good at explaining like this.
