Yeah that's what J and I were talking about on the phone a few minutes ago.I'm not opposed to a 2 day event if we have that many bands and performers. Much over 10 slots we're gonna have to go another day.

Robo...If you can make it you can play with TB and myself, and the keyboard player, if I can get him to come, and if not it may just be us three...but the three of us can pull it off ;D And we play mostly country with maybe some older rock and roll tunes thrown in...Bob Seger, Skynyrd, Chuck Berry, stuff like that....

That sounds great....We just need to come up with a time to play! I'm coming from Springfield so I don't want to be the first act to play at 10:00am...I need my some time to get there. I can play all that stuff...its ok with me...I sing to could bring my mic and stand....I do Suzy Q and Margaritaville. Don't have a cord for my mic though. We might be able to get together for practice or two before the gig if ya want to also. I'm up for that! Lets do it and sign up for a slot to play!

We would like to be penciled in for a performance. I will firm up the commitment as we get closer to the deadline. www.americaneagleband.comI look forward to meeting some of you. My intent is to try to make the next Forum meeting, but that is a tight schedule as it occurs on the same Sunday as the band backs up the steel guitar club in Baxter Springs.

I saw that you had several band slated to play. That's cool that there is lots of interest to participate.
It would be nice to have a website / myspace / something that featured the bands and some demos of their songs (covers are cool too!)
I would have to suggest that it might be a good idea for that to be a requirement (website with demo), pics with demo, etc. so that you know what you are getting, are able to slot the bands better, and have materials that would attract patrons to a fantastic event.
I would guess that everyone who has any experience performing live at least be able to provide those materials.
Just my 2 cents.

Well the bands that play together all the time might be able to do that, but in my case I dont really have a band together right now, and the guy who is gonna play drums for me plays with another band, but his band wont be able to make it, and he wants to play, and we want to play, so we are just gonna go for it...and it is just for fun, but I guess if Rusty makes it a requirement that the bands have to have a myspace, or website, then I guess we wont be playing....

I'm ready to play...bought a bunch of new drum stuff this week and putting it all together on my kit. When and where do you want to practice at MWS? The afternoon sounds great! MWS you can e-mail me on time and place to practice at:
robotiko_180@sbcglobal.net
I need to know in advance so it doesn't interfere with my band or studio work I'm doing. I'm good to practice Sunday though Thursday. I don't know what night our band practices on or when The Studio will call me to lay down tracks but I should have a few nights to pick from!
