One of those little mixers would be pretty nifty, for the audio files I posted though I just ran my Digitech RP 150 straight into my computer through the USB. I have even used it for the vocals, just find a preset, and pretty much turn all the effects off, except for maybe a little touch of reverb, and it worked pretty good for the vocals.... ;D

Yeah there are a ton of different ways to get to the computer. Line 6 makes a guitar tone port I think It's called,and it's a stereo guitar interface that has a low-z input for a mic on it as well,but again it's a little pricey. Endless possibilities with todays gear. I remember 15 years ago we would bounce tracks between 2 cassette decks just to get the idea down for the other band members,and owning a 4 track was a luxury.I use 14-20 tracks now,and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
