We were practicing last week and after playing Another Thing Comin' which is a heavy bass song, The Bass player is messing with the amp and says I keep dropping in and out. I noticed it as well, and after checking around we figured out the big amp that runs the subs was shutting down and turning back on all through the session. So yesterday I called around and located an old Commercial Grade Peavey CS-800 and worked out a deal on it,and it pounds the ground. It looks like it was used for a boat anchor and weighs 350lbs,but it is a solid amp. So MWS you or I either one will get to play the Les Paul, but the amp will be a lot better

Well bummer...but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do... I think shortly I am gonna get one of those Behringers like you and I were talking about awhile back. I think you said you had one and really liked it. We tore the Crate open and couldnt find anything loose to the reverb, and it is still a no go....

OH NO! That means it don't worky The Behringers are nice for the price, and they are quiet as well. Not a ton of power but they are good gear. I see them on CL from time to time as well, might score a good deal there.

Yeah I saw an older Peavey mixer on CL today. Morgan Music up in Lebanon had it. But it was non-powered so that would mean I would have to get a power amp, not sure if I could use the Crate somehow to power it or not, but it was listed for a really good price....But we talked about it, and kinda decided to get one that is powered....

You can use the crate to power it,if it has an effects loop it will have a power amp in,just run the mixer into that and the speakers as normal and it will work fine. I used a 100w 6 channel for powering the monitors until I got another amp and it worked fine.
And BTW The guy I traded the LP to is plying the festival so maybe he'll be bringing it along.

Well I got the horn replaced last night, cranked it up and the other one blew before I even got a check out of it. The date was 12-21-78 on the old drivers,so I guess maybe it was time. I ordered another new one and I'll be back on business..........I hope.
