Interesting, I was a member of a drum forum that used to and still does have members sent in short MP3 clips (or other supporting media) of their playing to a click track that emailed to all the members who wished to participate. Everyone had the same bpm and a simple percussion beat to either solo or laydown a beat on top of. The site owner then put them all together in no particular order to produce a "community" solo. It was not a contest though, just people showcasing a little of what they liked to do.

I did something of that nature here when we opened back in Dec,and it was a lot of fun.Might do something like that again just for fun.

Well I must have missed that unless I joined just after that happened- would have liked to have heard the results.....then again I may just not have been able to access it.

Yeah seems like the same thread material as was in the percussion forum- just guitars instead of drums
