I have been fighting my sound for a couple of years,I have switched amp, cabs, processors, several times and today I finally figured it out. I took my Peavey Supreme head and set it aside, and plugged a little Phonic 220x2 stereo PA head into my cab. Run it stereo, and ran my Line6 Pod Plus into it also stereo, and it sounds amazing. I think the Peavey head is history,I'll know more in a few days as I work on getting the sounds set correctly, but it sounded fantastic at practice today. I was talking it over with the guys, and I think the Peavey electronics are made so they have a "Peavey" tone, and with a modeling processor,it's a constant fight for tome, while the PA head is just pure power, and not trying to affect the tone, only amplify it. Anyway,it sure sounds better to me. t's worth a shot if you have nothing better to do..lol.

I picked up a Dean Evo Tevo a while back and was surprised by the tone I get from it when running straight into my Peavey Bandit 112 transtube amp. It's the ONLY electric guitar that I've used with that amp that doesn't sound too muddy when using the amp's onboard distortion channel. I'm not sure if it's the mahogany body and set neck of the Evo Tevo that does it or a combination of all the elements. By contrast the Evo sounds muddy through the distortion channel on my Carvin X-60B halfstack... -shrugs- tis a mystery to me!!

Yeah thats just the way it is.My Charvette sounds like crapola through the halfstack ,but sounds good on the line 6 spider. My aria love the halfstack, the ibanez just does what it was built to do. Rip your face off...lol. Prolly why the stars have 10 amps on stage with 10 guitars.
