I want to replace the nut on my bass with a graphite one. My buddy had his done and the sustain is incredible. Any thought on who to trust?

I don't have any idea in Springfield. If you can buy a direct replacement as in width, thickness and string placement they're not that hard to put in. remove the old one and sand the bottom to get the right height and glue it back. I've done several.

Yeah if it already has the slots cut it would be easy to replace, if not you would have to find someone with a file who can cut the slots for ya. But all of my tough stuff that I dont wanna do myself I take to Larry Smith at Village Music in Stockton Mo, but I have no idea about anyone down that way!!
