I got anxious and had some supplies left over,so I took the Epi apart Sunday night,sanded and primed last night, scuffed and shot color tonight and will topcoat with lacquer tomorrow,maybe have it back together by the weekend. Anyway here is a before and where I am now shot.

I went to shootteh clear on this thing tonight and the first coat the color wrinkled like a piece of paper. Back to square one again..lol

I got it all sanded again,color back on and laying the clear on it right now. So far so good. Really going to be a cool looking guitar. If I can ever get it painted!

8-)Was it enamel over laquer or laquer over enamel?? LOL what is the final color? The blue from the other one? Should look pretty good.

Lacquer over enamel. The color is what it is in the first picture, just has about 8 coats of lacquer on it I really like the seafoam green strats, and that was the plan for this one when I bought it.I have to wetsand and buff.But it looks like a new guitar when it's done. I got the finish done on the Peavey,dark metallic blue, looks great,waiting on machine heads and a few small things from evilbay to finish it up

Finished ;D This is a cool looking Bass. I've always been a fan of the Surf Green. This one turned out pretty god for #2,and it had some extensive damage on it from several previous finshes. I'm stoked Attachments:
