I have been thinking about getting some insurance on my drums, cymbals and throne. Because of where I keep them there is some traffic and its an older building. do any of you know anything about such insurance?

I've been thinking the same thing, sounds like a good thing to check into. I don't know if homeowners covers that kind of thing or not.

well I checked with my homeowners and they told me it would be separate because my drums are not at home. I rent that basement downtown. The state farm agent I get everything else from told me they could insure just my drum kit for replacement value and I said I needed about $800 to replace it and they quoted me at $264 a year or $22.00 a month. That would insure them for everything, theft, fire, flood, and anything else. I thought that was kinda of high. What do you all think?

I wish my car insurance was close to that I have two teen age daughters and comprehensive insurance on a 2005 expedition and a 2007 escape. it runs 260 A MONTH! I hate paying that when my daughters move out they tell me it will go down approximately $130 a month.

I have to make a correction my insurance lady just called and they made a mistake the replacement insurance is only $30 a year that makes so much more since.
Its through State Farm and it actually costs $.44 per hundred dollars replacement value. It insures my drums wherever they are not just at home or at the studio.
