Yeah I have seen videos of them in action on youtube, and they do add really nice harmonies to your vocals

I just bought a microverb4. Haven't had time to really work with it,but what I found so far is good. I have heard great things about the digitech vocalist as well. I may be looking for a different processor in the future.

I bought my dad one last year. But as for our band all four of us sing and do harmonies so we have no need for one.
You are correct though. It is very easy to use and works great.

yeah they would work great for one person, or maybe in a band setting where only one person was doing the singing....

I think one would be fun to play around with, but a little pricey just to use it for that....

Yeah I have an RP 150, and they are fun to play around with. would like to get an RP 500 someday. They are more like a pedal board, you can turn the individual effects off and on.... ;D

Yeah I looked at those,I wound up buying a Boss ME-33 which will work both ways. You can program it,or use it in manual mode, but there was a silence when you switch between effects which I didn't like,so I went back to the old stompboxes. I like those a lot better, they have actual knobs that do something when you turn them..lol

I have never been a big fan of Boss products, they tend to be a little more expensive than Digitech, and I think Digitech is USA made.... ;D But you can find about anything cheap on ebayif you search, and are patient awhile....lol

Yeah I use ebay from time to time. I like craigslist cause it's local and no seller fees.I've gotten good deals from both places

Yeah boss pedals are usually the icing, and this one sounded good, just didn't like the milisecond of dead air while switching. I use a boss distortion now in my pedalboard,it's a great sounding pedal.

This is my first response to the forum. I have have not been actively checking it out but have lurked out there once in awhile. I have a Digitech Live Vocalist 4 and use it extensively, sometimes solo, sometimes with a 4 piece band. With 50 preset harmonies available, it adds a great deal of versatility. For a solo act, or a group with only one lead singer, it adds a lot. It is fun to watch the audience the first time you kick in the harmony. They will be looking around trying to figure out who is singing harmony. I always generate a lot of interest in it.
On another topic. Has anyone in the forum used the Bose L1 PA System. I was not even aware of it until recently. Kind of pricey but it certainly is an intriguing concept and the reviews are all great. I think I may have to get one.

I've played one at GC and it sounded fantastic,I was only playing guitar through it though, but with any bose system you get their famous quality. I have a friend who uses one for his solo act just him and his guitar/drum machine and he says he will never need another rig.

So I am not familiar with these things, just reading through and got me to wondering, if you used this on guitar lets say, and do a solo piece- does it actually sound like 2 guitars playing, with one harmonizing but right along side with what you play? Seems like a cool effect for a single lead player wanting to cover or get the effect of some of the guitar work in a group like BOSTON for example
